The Takealot Group, South Africa’s leading online retail and delivery organisation, is offering an exciting Risk & Security Management Internship in Durban. This programme spans across takealot.com, TFS, and Mr D, giving interns exposure to diverse business operations in a fast-paced e-commerce environment. Designed for ambitious, detail-oriented, and proactive individuals, the internship provides hands-on experience in risk analysis, security management, and compliance support. Interns will gain valuable technical and soft skills while working alongside industry leaders, contributing to impactful projects, and developing a strong foundation for a career in risk and security management.

Responsibilities

• Assist with data analysis and reporting related to risk trends, security incidents, and control gaps
• Support coordination with internal stakeholders such as IT, Operations, Finance, Legal, and Compliance
• Assist with audit preparation, evidence collection, and follow-up on audit findings
• Support business continuity, fraud prevention, and security awareness initiatives where required
• Participate in risk assessments, workshops, and internal reviews as part of learning exposure
• Provide general administrative and project support to the Risk & Security team

Qualifications

• N6 in Risk Management
• N6 in Information Security
• N6 in Cyber Security
• N6 in a related field
• Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Proficiency in Google Workspace
• Effective time-management and organizational skills
• Proactive, hands-on, and able to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
